Even though I got the username/login info, I never upgraded my ccp. I re-installed the original ccp but it would not work with my latest ccp programmed file. So, I uploaded the program from remote to the old ccp software and everything works just fine.

I don't plan to buy new remotes anyway. I have extra mx 780s, for my continued use for several years.

One more benefit - using old CCP, the download to the remote is about 70% faster, for the same ccp download file. Not sure why the download is so much faster but I was pleasantly surprised.

I disabled the update process.
If I have to add a remote, I will simply teach the IR codes.
So, no need to ever upgrade.
I assume that this way, I will never have to use my registration and login?
