This is a pretty interesting turn of events. Seems that URC has, in essence, relaxed it software policy - at least as far as CCP goes.
What I mean is, using the new end user portal, they are giving anyone the ability to get the software. Now, when a place like Amazon or Newegg sells a CCP remote (they are always on there), instead of returning and writing a bad review complaining about the policy, they have an option to get the software?
They are in for a bit of a surprise when they see how much is involved with programming it. This will still probably return it and leave a bad review but for different reasons.

There was language in the Terms and Conditions that required one's remotes to be purchased from an AUTHORIZED dealer, so those folks might be angry before they get to the actual programming.
