At the risk of being that guy, the weak links in your system are the AVR and the consumer sub. I love both brands, but if the goal is high sound pressure, the Control 29 or 30 or 31 at the 8 ohm setting being driven by a Crown XLS or QSC GX series amp would deliver the goods. The JBL Pro SB2210 sub off of another XLS for bottom end. Find a Denon DRA800h two channel receiver (preamp out, hdmi switching, sub out) and make sure that whatever commercial amp you choose is compatible with consumer level outputs.
You'll deliver a much better sounding system and likely come in at or about the same kind of money as the mismatched system you propose.
Fred- I really like your idea and can do it except for possibly using the SB2210, unless I can use a line level adapter, use 70 adapter?
We only ran two RG6QS wire runs to the subwoofer (approx. 30' long). We don't have any speaker wire ran. Is there an "adapter" that could work.......I'm open to options to get the sound the best I can.
