Yes, it would not only be wrong it would be stupid. The World doesn't revolve around you and your personal experiences. Things like mass illness and death are quite easy to confirm (unless you think everything is one great big conspiracy, and if so, someone should take pity on you).
I suppose you think we never went to the moon because
you didn't go to the moon, or because you weren't best friends with Armstrong.
