I just got a Monoprice matrix switch, which I believe is the exact same as the Vanco Evolution 4x1. [Link: vanco1.com]

I assume the codes are the same and Vanco has them detailed as follows:

Output 1
Input 1A5 5B 02 03 01 00 01 00 00 00 00 00 F9
Input 2A5 5B 02 03 02 00 01 00 00 00 00 00 F8
Input 3A5 5B 02 03 03 00 01 00 00 00 00 00 F7
Input 4A5 5B 02 03 04 00 01 00 00 00 00 00 F6

They also have the pinout for the 3 pole 3.5mm jack as tip TX, ring RX and sleeve ground.

I have a URC MRX8 on the other end, which seems to have a 4 pole 3.5mm jack and says tip is not used, ring 1 is RX, ring 2 is TX and sleeve ground.

Any idea on how to make a cable to get these two working? It's been a while since I've made a 3.5 to db9 adapter and I've never made a male to male 3.5mm with one end 3 pole and the other 4.

Any ideas? Seems like I had them talking at one point, but the commands weren't working.

Help please!
