I'm ok with no control systems too. Two years ago I couldn't imagine why anyone would install systems without something like RTI or Procontrol..etc...In the last year I don't even think I installed one RTI system and did maybe 5 ProControl remotes. Everything Sonos, Ignite (Xfinity) and Samsung TV for Apple TV. So they have to learn two remotes. Everything else in the home has their native app that can't really be replicated. RTI has their new programming suite and I'm happy I won't have to waste my life away learning it.
