I don't know where you're located, but here in Portland I had a takeover job where the original installer put a Playbar outside on a mantle in a covered outdoor living space- the homeowner was on their third one in 4 years when I walked the site. Can you post a picture of the install location?
This will be on on an exterior stucco wall with only 24" overhang above it. The plan would be to use an AMP (located in a closet behind the TV) with two ground speakers or a speaker bar. It will be directly exposed to rain, etc. during a storm as well as direct sun every afternoon.
