i'd bet that the lack of tv mount inventory is due to people already having mounts. If they upgrade their tv, the mount is reusable in most cases.

I replaced an OLD Samsung 40" plasma with a new 65" LG. Not only did the old mount work, it even placed the TV
exactly where the TV needed it to be, using the same bolt positions. I never took the wall part off -- just transferred the part that mounts to the TV onto the new TV in the one position where the mount would go.
