SO:

Went by and checked things out.

1. Charger is good (used it on my M880).

2. The bad 880 powers up and works fine with a fresh battery (mine).

3. The bad 880 will not power up with charging cable plugged in.

4. The bad 880 will not connect to PC (wanted extract the file).

Apparently the remote has a problem on the board, as it will not take a charge nor will it connect to a pc but works just fine otherwise.

The client likes the 880 as do I. His system is a very simple one and the programming is as easy as any other URC remote.

The remote is probably 5 or so years old, but mine is MUCH older and still works just fine so I don't think age is a factor (when did they stop producing them?).


I'll get a 890 tomorrow and all will be good to go. Easy programming since it is a pretty basic system.
