Agreed. Must have been too few willing or able to pay for a top-shelf remote to support the business case for the Pronto Pro line. They were the best programmable IR remotes ever made, but were way too pricey for most folks, including me, when new.
But I'm now using a like-new 9600 that I picked up for a few hundred USD, and love it so much that I picked up a second 9600, just in case the one in use ever cashes in its chips.
