Raw format is a very long code and if the short form is working, you may be good.

If your remote is locking up after a period of time, I would recommend a 'Complete' firmware reload.

If the unit continues to fail, it may be something related to heat causing it to fail.
Do you leave the screen on all the time?

If you have no ProntoScript code in there, then the CPU should not be overtaxed. Could be a bad memory chip or something else.

When you do reboot it, after it comes back on, is there anything in the Diagnostics Log? Press and hold simultaneously Backlight + Menu + Firm2.
