About a month ago I was finding that Pioneer Elite was much harder to obtain than Sony ES. But maybe things are different now. Regardless, I have tried both and they work essentially the same.

Certain Elite models won't show the "Works with Sonos" feature until you do a firmware update.

Doesn't matter if it's a Port or Connect. Works as expected. I actually think the Pioneers might be a little quicker to output audio than the Sonys.

You may be right, after my post I looked at one disty for Elite and "no stock".
Nice to know about using Sonos with Pioneer. I do find a bit of a delay for Sony ES to turn on though.
