MicDundee, may I ask why you "need" this? If you are looking for a networked IR sender there are other solutions which are cheaper, have a published API, and still being manufactured.

I would like to use it as a networked infrared translator that interacts with Bang & Olufsen gateway. The gateway is able to send/receive http commands (like to a Philips HUE bridge) and allows control of third party device through a Bang & Olufsen remote control.

Example: I want to watch a DVD, press DVD on the Beo 4 remote and the translator ensures that e.g. a Denon DVD/Blu-Ray player is being able to be controlled through translated IR commands.

If the device can translate IR commands into the corresponding room (like a lintronic TT238) that would be perfectly fine, too.
