Have a client that doesn't "like" surround systems and only wants two channel and sub for living room system and art studio.
I was thinking of a 4x1 or 5x1 switcher with analog two channel output to a good quality amp. BUT also like a sub output.
I've seen these recommended here recently:
AV Pro Edge
Wyrestorm
Xantech
Video and audio quality/ reliability are the priority not cost. I'm assuming I need down converting so multichannel will come through amp correctly. How about lip sync? Will this be an issue? If so, how to deal with it?
What other issues/ potential problems should I look for?
TIA

UPDATE:
We need to add a Sonos Port into this scenario and he wants it to work in the native Sonos App. Now I'm thinking I need an AVR with Sonos control (Sony ES, etc. "music connect") or an HDMI switcher with analog audio extractor AND analog or Digital input for Sonos Port.....Working on bid now
