Be aware that the update of the Marantz to HDMI 2.1 will only give you 1 x HDMI input and 1 x HDMI output... and even then it will be at a fairly sizeable cost.
If you're looking to get a high end AVR right now, wait. HDMI 2.1 will do two things: 1 - Bring down the cost of older HDMI 2.0b AVR's. 2 - Give you HDMI 2.1 benefits (quick media switching / VRR etc).
This industry is not getting cheaper and cheaper, we're simply convincing ourselves that we have to push the cheapest option to customers. #makesonosgreatagain
