Those B&Ws are pretty legit in wall speakers. I've installed and heard them in several projects back in the day. I think MSRP was $1k each? For around $200, it's a no brainer to swap the tweets.

But I admit to doing the same thing...... Remove something broken and install something new vs tracking down parts to fix whatever it is I don't sell. Do whatever you feel is the best solution. And whatever makes the customer happiest.
