I've been focused on single tenant resi projects since starting my business 10 years ago. Having recently completed a single family home project where the construction management company actually focuses on MDU, I may have the opportunity to pitch business in the MDU realm.
So, I'm trying to find the overlap between the technology needs in MDU construction and my competencies.
When I think of MDU tech, I think of 3 areas:
1. Building level systems (i.e. door entry, cameras, security, carrier provisions, etc.) 2. Amenities / Common Areas (i.e. theater room, gym A/V, etc.) 3. Individual Units (i.e. pre-wire)
What else should I be thinking about where I might be able to add value as someone who has an IT background and who has done the in-unit A/V and smart home work for the past decade?
Sorry if the question is too vague. Hoping to get some more clarity from this thread to help me ask the question a better way.
