I realize that this is an old thread, but I find myself in a similar situation where no IR database appears to have the IR codes for my Sony VPL-HW45ES. I am using a URC MCS-400 via the URC MX-900 remote.

I will try (and hope that) the above discrete codes will work for my projector's IR IN port. So far, neither URC IR database codes for any VPL-HWxxES or learned codes from the projector remote (toggle power) seem to work. I have also tried using an emitter, without the IR IN, and am having no success.

Should these discrete codes work, I will post back.
