I have AppleTV's in 3 rooms of my house. I don't use those rooms so i actually forgot what they were like. Maybe i am out of touch and the current Apple TV has a feature i am unaware of but the last time i was at a customers house who had Roku and Apple TV i was able to hit the Home button on the Roku but the Apple TV required a bunch of MENU MENU MENU MENU presses to back out of an app.
Amazon Fire TV is even worse. It's like the interface is an endless ad instead of just organizing content/apps.
Appletv is like old iPods. Hold down menu and it will go to the main menu. If you use a control system that doesn't have a repeat while pressed then your SOL there
