My brother bought a 19 Miata, the mic is lousy. My M3’s mic is better but it’s not excellent. My Wife’s new wrangler’s mic is pretty amazing given she has the power skyroof. My transit vans mic is ok.

I think it’s just how car manufacturers place the mic, deal with noise cancelling and the likes.
