Opinions on using a Sonos Beam and connect TV or cable box via HDMI, leaving the Beam in the storage room so it can't be heard?

The two Sonos 'Support' agents I spoke with were terrible. I hope this isn't the way they'll be operating in the future.

My mechanic told me, "I couldn't repair your brakes, so I made your horn louder."
