I’ve only done a few, but the one I had that exhibited your symptoms was not repairable. At that time, an MX5000 was the only available “replacement”, and that is now gone, AFAIK.
There is no truth anymore. Only assertions. The internet world has no interest in truth, only vindication for preconceived assumptions.
