It's been a while since I've done any URC remotes from scratch and I need a recommendation as to which model to get, if I can pin it down to one model. The client would like similar remotes in different locations. I'd like to use the same model and set them up to operate similarly.

They'll use RF where needed, and IR routing in at least one location (the dreaded two TVs in the gym you've read about).

There's a home theater with several sources; a couple of locations that are TV, cable box, and DVD player. The gym with two cable boxes and two TVs. I'm using different brands of TV in this room. The locations that are just cable box and TV are going to use a cable company remote.

They've had, and hated, a Logitech remote in the home theater. They consider the theater broken although I could pick up the remote and work it.

I don't require a touchscreen remote and I don't see any advantage to using one, though I'd like to know if there really are any.

I know this is vague, but some ideas would help. Thanks.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.
