This is also stated within the Canadian Electrical code. Haven't seen a lot of it (I know of a couple companies with 2' and 4' drop ceiling fixtures) but can see this becoming more of an issue. The way the union will get around it is by simply adding it into the code and requiring electrical contractors to run and terminate all the wiring. Then the inspectors will require all wires and connectors to be certified and won't provide a passed system until they receive the completed certification document.
