My main development system suddenly started showing HID C5 errors. It is a Win 10 system with the latest updates. I am running Pronto Pro 2 v2.4.23. I have been running it for months with no issue. I spent 3 hours trying to figure out what was wrong when I remembered to force the 9800 to reboot. That cleared the problem right away. Getting old seems to cause the memory to slow down. I remember things, memories are not lost, it just takes longer to bring them up.

Part of the 3 hours was spent trying to set up PEP2 v2.4.23 on a Windows 7 machine and on a new Win 10 Laptop.

Win 7 machine: The PEP2 installation went fine but the installed program would not run. It used to run before just not anymore. It failed with the cryptic Windows message that the program had stopped running.

Win 10 machine: The installer run okay until it came to the point where it was creating a backup folder. It stayed there for a long time not advancing beyond that point. Task manager was able to end the task when I requested it to do so after about 30 minutes of waiting. PEP2 was using CPU and making disk accesses. [SOLVED| When it stalled I used the task manager to kill the Prontodataservice activity and the installer took right off. It happened again when doing the uninstaller setup and the same solution worked. The install completed and appears to be working fine.
