In my own house, I'm converting my CCTV from analog to IP. I have already purchased IP NVR, so I'm not interested in AHD,TVI, HDCoax, etc. I have a room that apparently we forgot to run CatX wire to. It's got the CCTV Siamese RG59 & 18/2 cable.
This run is only 35' feet. If I find any additional locations lacking Cat5e, the longest run would be 100'.
What are my options for taking IP PoE camera feed and run it over Siamese cable and un-converting it back to RJ45 on the other end?
I would much prefer an end to end PoE over RJ45 solution as I don't want to mess with feeding cameras 12VDC over the 18/2 and then converting just the data feed over the coax.
