My HAI rep told me over a year ago Leviton was putting ZERO dollars into Omni line and it expect it to go bye bye.
So, what exactly did Leviton get/want from the HAI purchase? While the Omni was overpriced, it was a rock solid product. In its hay day, there really was nothing as powerful. It was a go-to product for early home automation.
Given its lack of network functionality, it was on its deathbed without an influx of cash and R&D prior to the Leviton purchase. One thought was Leviton would bring it to the next level, but they quashed it. Still scratching my head on WTF Leviton wanted and or got out of the purchase. Not making any sense of it.
