It's been a very long time since I touched Ubiquiti access points etc. In the past, we always used the 24V poe adapters that came with the gear or Ubiquiti switches that were known to work ok with their gear.

I thought that Ubiquiti had started supporting the "af" standard on their AP's etc in the past few years.

We just picked up a pair of NanoBeam AC gen2's to play with. They included the 24V poe adapters that we are familiar with from our experience years ago. Lit says that Nano beam needs the 24v poe adapter, an edge switch, or Edge Router POE to operate.

Catch me up on this stuff. I don't want to cook anything. Any insights would be appreciated.
I'm Not an engineer, but I play one on TV.
My handle is Tweety but I have nothing to do with the organization of similar name. I just had a really big head as a child so folks called me tweety bird.
