The case in point is from

It starts going bad when it doesn't give ANY info on the required starting conditions for the instructions. It then says to click on the gear (settings), when there's no gear on the screen. It gets worse from there.
I don't use Google Calendar but do have a gmail address so did a quick look. Not sure where you are not seeing the "Gear" icon but I found it in less than 2 seconds

See deleted events in your trash (computer only)" which means that if you are trying to access this feature on anything but a computer browser this is not possible
