I'm writing this in a separate thread to keep from derailing the thread that made me think to ask: [Link: remotecentral.com]

I just wrote two pages of details, and I can publish that if you like, but it all comes down to this: how the HELL do you follow instructions given by google support for changing google calendar (and other programs) when the things you're told to do cannot be done in google calendar?

The case in point is from [Link: support.google.com].

It starts going bad when it doesn't give ANY info on the required starting conditions for the instructions. It then says to click on the gear (settings), when there's no gear on the screen. It gets worse from there.

I'll say it again: What the HELL do you do when the instructions given by the maker don't match the software they say it's for?
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.
