I wouldn't want someone tearing my stuff apart without talking to me first so it's more a matter of consideration.
I've been in contact with the manufacturer and they seem agreeable to me swapping the BT adapter and they also suggested using an Airplay adapter which would push the connection to WiFi which might be more desirable.
True- warranty, and all.
WiFi would be good- especially since BT is interrupted when the phone rings (if they happen to use a phone or iPad with cellular).
