You could also look at sending a few picos to Sealoc and have them "waterproof" them.

I did this with a C4 SR-260 for a hot tub. I made sure they understood they can't drop it in the water or they would have to let the battery compartment dry out. It's a long time customer, and I also told them we would just try it out. But they do use the remote in the hot tub, so you know there is some moisture happening, and it's been going strong for close to a year now.
