By the way, there is a second way to do this. It requires no imagelists or special skills. Do you have the images you want to use for heat, cool, auto, off etc...? I forgot that I did something similar when I had to find a workaround for a MyQ driver. I needed to show open / closed / in-motion without using an imagelist and figured out a way.
