Hey guys, I have sold and upgraded some of my home media stuff. I am now looking to understand and implement Ip control for most if not all my new devices and this decision is due to my biggest change which is going from urc MSC 400 and mx 980 to a mrx-2 with a mx-5000. I now want to better control and receive feedback from my new devices in real time.

Device list:
TV: LG 65UK7700
AVR: Sony STR ZA3100ES( for Now)
Media: NVIDIA Shield using Videostorm IRUSB dongle ( Thanks Barry for the tip)
Media Player: Oppo bluray
PS3

Issues1

a) CCP and my MX-5000 don't seem to like each other much. After I fixed the "Can't Connect Error Message" between the two system using some awesome step by steps I ran into something new to me. the first issues is in CCP under CREATE NAME AND DEVICES ----Devices------Categories ===Two Way Unsupported ( Can anyone help me understand why I am getting this response? I have check the manuals and can't find an answer)
(b)then I am getting the error on the remote when I go to download to the remote i get " A DHCP Server could not be contacted.Using cached lease information" (What am I doing that is causing this?)

Issue 2

As mentioned above I am interested in changing my system over to mostly IP if not all to IP, but at this time I a having a hard time finding the relevant source of IP's for my device. ( Is this a matter of fixing Issue1 (a) or is there somewhere else I need to start looking?)


Issue 3

When I got start with URC almost 10+ years ago I did not have need for any two way module and kept my learner to things that help me achieve the goals at that time. Now that I have chosen to take some new step there are a few things that I think I need/want /would be nice to have but I lack the credentials. for acquiring the two way modules. ( How can I get access to them? The dealer that I purchased my items and the CCP from is not longer in business to my knowledge). I am not against buying but I am very limited in that area.


I have CCP and can do a lot my own configurations. I also want to eventually I tie this into my veraplus controller which currently has my cameras, door and window lock as well as my thermostat on it.
Any help on how I can get IP control of my devices and the possible interaction between my veraplus and urc systems would be great. Thanks guys
