I wanted to pick the collective brains here. We recently completed an upgrade for a new customer to an AppleTV 4k and a Marantz SR-5013 AVR with an existing Samsung 9000 series lcd (circa 2016 model). The client has the main Direct TV box in the cabinet feeding television signaling and is complaining of juddering with fast motion like sports on Direct TV. It's a sticky situation as I personally hate LCD's for their slow response time, so all of them suck to my eye. I did not sell the customer the Samsung set nor did I see the video before we installed the new AVR. We have run through several setting options in the AVR and the television to see if the issue improved. I'm rolling a truck on Tuesday to double check the class of HDMI cabling in the wall (previously installed) and to bypass the AVR to see if the issue resolves.

Is there anything else that I may be missing here? It sounds like a refresh rate/frame rate incompatibility but I've not seen this in a Marantz AVR before.

Is it 'jitter', or 'judder'? There's a difference. Google 'jitter vs judder' and you'll find more info.
