Turns out that the use of stop when a disc is in but not playing doesn't eject the disc, so I can eject without one in but not with one in. Odd. This is the response I got from MF- but that doesn't seem to direct me to a code that I can just C&P into my xcf file, and I am a bit baffled.

Can anyone help, and tell me what RC-5 code 45 is in Pronto-speak?

This is what they said:

Hi Simon,

I have just checked with the Musical Fidelity engineer and he advised that the eject function was not included on the remote in the end.
This was decided as you have to get up to change the disc anyway...

The code for eject is still programmable though.
It is code 45 (decimal) for open/shut tray.

Other codes are apparently standard and documented in table 14 of the following Wikipedia page:
https://en.wikipedia.org/ (Gap to allow reproduction) wiki/RC-5

So, here's how you use this.

In PEP2...

From MyDatabase, choose your component. Scroll all the way to the bottom of the 'Component Functions' and type RC5-Eject as the function name. Next, click the RC5/6 button. On the 'Define RC Code' dialog that pops up, make sure the RC5 option button is selected. Next, enter a System value of 20 (called out in the header of table 14) and a Command value of 45 (the function). Press OK.

You should then see the IR code generated like this.

5000 0000 0000 0001 0014 002D

Good Luck.
