These posts illustrate why system quality is on the decline, and why vinyl has a rebirth.
With records you have to go and find it, spend time flipping through stacks, and it's special to you, your friend can't instantly acquire the same thing with out cost or time. I found it! A prize! I must protect it, it can be broken. And with special things, you treat them better, want to enjoy them more, it's emotional. Which is what music is suppose to be about.
With digital, a few clicks and blah, anybody can do it, nothing to hear here. No value, no emotional attachment, no cost, no commitment. Who want's to spend money on recreating that?
