Funny. I just recently talked to a builder at the coast, and even though he stated "I know wired is better." he will not put in ANY wiring at all, other than the coax the electrician is putting in.

Not so much as a wire for a doorbell in his houses.

I feel for the people that buy his houses because they are the ones that will be faced with buying a pricey router instead of that $19.95 POS at Wally World.
