Pretty sure he was wiring the contact closure to an actual remote start key fob not the starter wires themselves. I also did remote starters for over ten years and I as can assure you ,there is a lot more to worry about then just touching the start wires together regardless of how many times the fast and the furious get it to work
Even if he just wants to use his cell phone to start the engine, there are better ways than cobbling it together with a URC piece. Or, is this specifically to be a way to use the control system for the house as a way to start the engine?
