Snap's HDMI bandwidth was published @ 7Gbit/s or so around Cedia. HDbaseT @ 10.2 Gbit/s is already getting us in trouble. All it takes is a client messing with settings in their Apple TV/Nvidia/Roku and the system is broken. And you are holding the bag on selling an inferior product.

I would stay as far away from this as possible if you are doing any kind of quality residential work.

#1) It is being re-encoded (compressed), so messing with settings isn't going to break anything. It will do the specs to the TV (4K, 60Hz, 10bit, etc.) but it is going to lose picture quality due to the compression.
#2) JAP does the same thing. Only difference is they will not tell you what bandwidth they re-encode at. Depending on the codec & bandwidth, JAP might look better or Snap might look better (I personally haven't had a side-by-side). JAP does offer more features right now.
