Thanks. I downloaded VLC and it looked great.
I also installed winamp and it looks like there's A LOT to do just to be able to play one file. One file is all I need.
And I figured out an acceptable way to start it so the play etc controls disappear after about a second. Thankfully, though the video is a COLD OPEN, it has credits and silence at the end.
Thank you so much for the advice.
Oh, yeah: do you know if the image that comes out of the computer's VGA output has image borders different from what you see on the main screen? Thanks, again.
