There are ways to save the tracks in higher-resolution formats, though. Not with this, but with an outboard DAC. Also, it's possible to remove the clicks & pops with something like Audacity, so that helps with the dynamics.
If I could stand the tedium, I would convert all of my vinyl to digital, so I could listen to that music outside of the house.
