I will trade you the staircase from h&ll. At a project years ago we had this weird control room that spanned floor 2.5 through 3.5. there was like a half door to get into it. Ten foot ceiling with the door at the ceiling so you needed a staircase or ladder to get in.
Fancy wood so fancy woof guys there staining the stairs...for like a month. Seriously ever day they would put a coat of something on it and tape it off so you couldn't use it. There were about 15 technicians from different companies all trying to climb over the tape. Dangerous as hell because the staircase slid out for use and back in place when not in use. The mechanism that locked the stairs in place wasn't working properly.
So every day for a month the day would start out with an argument with the stain guys...a heated exchange with the GC and then people risking their lives trying to climb over until someone got hurt or stepped on the wet finish...you would hear some yelled profanity and then they would rip the caution tape down and everyone would just start walking on the stairs.
Then the ground hog day alarm would go off the next morning and we would start the madness all over again.
