When I take things down in January I'll take some photos of the wiring and electronics involved.

The system consists of a mini PC running Light-O-Rama software.  This uses two USB adapters to communicate to the system.  One works with the Light-O-Rama control protocol and the other works with the DMX network.  All the RGB stuff is DMX controlled and I have various DMX to RGB controllers around the house/yard.

I have 4 Light-O-Rama 16 channel controllers that get connected to the more traditional light strings.  The tree takes up 16 channels and the arches take up 16 channels.  The santa face and lights in the yard use another 16 channels.  The last 16 channel box isn't completely filled yet, though I plan to add some lights to the side yard.

The RGB lights up in the soffits are permanently installed because I got tired of climbing on my roof.  The solar we had installed this year would have made it difficult anyway.

The RGB neon rope on the windows are attached to curtain rods and hung up on hooks every year.  The RGB neon around the garage and foyer are attached with little aluminum holders that stay in play year round.  I just push the neon into them.

All in all it only takes me a couple weekends to get everything going.
