musictoo - thanks but as my original post stated, that is what I have already done and it is not adequate. The problem is even with a repeat value of "1" as long as the key remains depressed it is fired off with a key repeat burst rate of 50ms? (or whatever the factory default is).

With each of these firings, there is only 1 IR code set (repeat value=1) but it is being sent every 50ms? (or whatever the URC default is) this looks to the target equipment like multiple fast key presses, and in the case of cursor move actions causes the cursor to "fly" which makes it hard to skip ahead only a single space/icon/cell at a time. The only solution is to make an absurdly quick key press.

I am seeking to make the "key" repeat at a slower (eg 300ms) burst rate, which in conjunction with the IR Code (repeat value=1) single code output, results in only one code being sent each 300ms (or whatever the key burst rate is).
