I started playing with more Alexa options last night. Even if you can make this work, why would you want to? Volume control alone would be irritating. Not to mention browsing a channel guide
I would never recommend it but client was wondering if it is possible. The volume is my first expectation of exactly that. I would last an hour asking Alexa for every volume and channel change, and ask for a remote.
I think he wants to ability to turn things on (avr, cable box, blu ray, tv) by voice. He has Comcast X1, so it is already a voice remote. He would likely want that controlled by Alexa as well.
Since he has ceiling speakers, the zone 2 feature could be activated throughout the house by voice (inwall modules or echo dots.)
