Yes, the new sonos amp allows you to use both the HDMI input and the analog input... It shows up as separate sources in the browse list.

You CAN'T select the HDMI input as a source in another room(s).
You can group the HDMI input into another room(s).

So, in this example, if the CD isn't playing in the room the AMP is in, you can't listen to CD in other rooms.

And, so all are aware the converter dongle ISN'T included with the AMP the way it is with the Beam, sold separately.
