I'll presume that you have one cable in a place and really need two?
One to feed the 'router' and one to return from the router back to the modem location where you need the switch to feed other already existing equipment.

Assuming it's a proper category cable, split the 4 pair into two sets. No it's not to Ethernet spec, and if you can run a cable, run the cable. Buy adapters online, or make it up yourself.
