They show a small box with a few devices connected to it, a USB port, one IR port, the remote and that's all. I suspect it uses CEC which, for a really simple system, works OK. I guess. Add any complexity and this thing is going into a drawer. For some people, it will be 'good enough' and it's probably better than juggling a bunch of OEM remotes.
