The battery can be replaced by a Fugi camera battery #NP-60. Quite a few members use one from Ultralast. I just ordered 2 of them from Newworldvideodirect.com at a price of $20.00 each.

Forget this place. I waited 11 days and heard nothing. I sent an e-mail and they told me that they were having overheating issues with the battery. I canceled.
